VOC-Directive (EU-Directive of 1999/13)
The VOC-directive applies to all industrial coating plants, which do coat metal or plastics surfaces and use sufficient purification lines.
Purpose and scope of this directive is to reduce air pollution resulting from plants.
For this the solvent consumers were grouped into different business operating areas.
Starting from a VOC quantity of 5t/a it is necessary to provide a solvent balance sheet for industrial coating plants which do coat metal or plastics.
For reduction of the solvent consumption we offer a wide product range of water-based and high-solid coating systems.
Furthermore we offer to support you in providing a solvent balance sheet.
Decopaint-Directive (2004/42/CE)
The purpose of this directive is to limit the total content of VOCs in certain paints and varnishes and vehicle refinishing products in order to prevent or reduce air pollution resulting from the contribution of VOCs to the formation of the thropospheric ozone.
Products which are being used for this purpose are assigned to one or more product categories with a certain VOC limit value (starting on 01. of January 2007, respectively 01. of January 2010).
Because of our ongoing further development and optimisation of our products we can offer you a wide range of VOC compliant coating systems.
A short version of the information about the product categories and the VOC values can be found on the product label. The technical datasheet does contain more detailed information.
Note:
VOC = Volatile Organic Compounds ≈ solvents
